What’s in Store for the Disney Wish when she joins the Disney Cruise Line Fleet in 2022

I’m over the moon excited for all of the amazing new things coming to the Disney Wish and as soon as I watched the the ship reveal I had to create a blog post right away to share with all of you!

Captain Minnie will adorn the helm of the ship & a beautiful Cinderella statue will welcome visitors into the Grand Hall when they board the ship. The Grand Hall will become much more than a simple Atrium, read on for more.

What you see below is not the Aqua Duck found on other Disney Ships, rather it is the first-ever Disney attraction at sea!

This amazing attraction is called the AquaMouse and will take sliders through Port Misadventure into a digital world while winding 760 feet around and above the upper deck. This cinematic adventure will be double the slide time of the AquaDuck at over 2 minutes in length. Who’s going with me???

The spacious upper decks will space for fun in the sun for everyone. There will be 6 pools spaciously staggered among tiered decks. Don’t worry, the soft serve ice cream and quick service bites will remain a part of the deck experience.

The zone in the forward part of the upper decks is a brand new Toy Story themed zone. There will be a Splash Zone with a Toy Story theme, perfect for those little ones who want to splash away with their favorite characters from the big screen. Rex will have his very own slide themed after him & aptly names Slideasaurusrex. If all the play makes you thirsty, there will be a smoothie bar called Wheezies Freezes.

BRAND NEW to the Oceaneer Club (for children ages 3 – 12) there is a ‘secret entrance’ from the Grand Hall. Kids will be able to slide in to all the fun through a special slide just for them.

Inside the Oceaneer Club young recruits will train in the Avengers Academy. There will be special appearances from characters which include Spiderman in the lead. Kids can even choose their own hero suit & put it to the test.

Don’t worry there is something for the princesses & princes onboard too. 😉 At Princess Fairytale Hall there will be art activities with Rupunzel in her art studio & enjoy a good story in Bell’s Library.
Kids can also learn about the secrets behind the magic in the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab. Learn what it takes to create & design all of the Disney Magic in a first of it’s kind interactive lab where designing their own roller coaster & even riding it is only part of the fun.
Broadway style shows are always a hit on Disney Cruise Line and the Walt Disney Theater returns with a new design, new touches and even two new shows that are top secret for now. 😉

For older teens The Edge will be for ages 11 – 14 and Vibe will be fore ages 14-17.

One of the family friendly shows that will take place on this fabulous stage will be Aladdin. Reimagined the Genie will hit the stage once again as a Disney Cruise Line favorite.
Another FIRST for Disney Cruise Line…. Located in the heart of the ship is a stage inside the Grand Hall. Surprise shows will take place in this area throughout the day.
Don’t worry if you are not the right age for the kid’s club. Disney has something very special in store for adults and I am outwardly ecstatic to see these areas!!!!

Wedding Venue in the Grand Hall

Inspired by fairy tales, like Cinderella, the Grand Hall features a magnificent staircase that serves as a stunning backdrop for a wedding ceremony or vow renewal.

Star Wars fans, get ready…. Hyperspace Lounge will be a dream come true for you. Enjoy drinks while visiting the various planets from the Star Wars films.

Hyperspace Lounge

There will be a brand new adult dining space centered around the Beauty & the Beast theme where three restaurants will show off touches from the popular film & Broadway production. The Rose, Palo and Enchante hosted by none other than Lumiere himself.

Quiet Cove and Senses Spa will continue their presence on the Disney Wish.

Also joining the entertainment line up…
Luna a new entertainment hub that will transform from family fun during the day to elegant entertainment in the evening
Hero Zone will be a futuristic sports arena that will include plenty of competitions & imaginative challenges.
Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas are smaller screening experiences that will offer guests options to watch classic & first run films.

The Disney wish has redesigned their staterooms with beautiful artwork & most rooms will have a view of the ocean. 70% of the 1254 staterooms that will have a spacious verandah.

Updated décor will adorn the Concierge rooms and double the number of concierge staterooms and suites. This includes Disney’s first staterooms located above the bridge with floor to ceiling windows. These rooms will include a private sundeck & lounge.

Four Royal Suites will join the list of accommodations. These suites will sleep up to 6 guests with first-class amenities.

The Disney Wish will feature their first-ever two-story Royal Suites. These rooms will have everything from a spiral staircase to stunning views of the ocean. There are only two of these Royal Suites.

Dining is always an event on every Disney Cruise we have taken; it doesn’t surprise me that the first-ever cruise line built by an entertainment company has some special activities in store for dinner time.

The first of three restaurants includes a show space inside the dining room based on the film Frozen. In Arendelle restaurant you will be entertained by the character from frozen while you eat!

The second of three restaurants is called “1923” All Disney super fans know that this is the year Walt Disney started his studio. The décor & food will be classic California.
Don’t worry Super Hero Fans, Disney has something for you. The third restaurant will be based on Marvel experiences & entertainment. The details are still locked away, but we will be keeping an eye out & sharing more soon.
I know what you are all thinking…
