Disney Wish – What we know about the Staterooms & Deck Plans, so far

The grand reveal of the Disney Wish is barely a few days old, but the flurry over choosing the right stateroom on the newest ship in the fleet, is already at an apex. Everyone wants to know more about the rooms and the deck plans so that they can have that perfect room in mind when reservations start to open on May 17th. I understand that need to plan and I am going to share with you what I know so far about the staterooms and deck plans on the Disney Wish.

Enchantment is the theme of this grand new ship & the story will carry throughout all of the staterooms with beautiful artwork above the main bed & enhanced storage space, something that every family needs. The pull down bed will remain in staterooms that sleep more than three & the murphy bed will be in staterooms that sleep 5. The Disney signature split bath design has carried over to this ship in most of the staterooms. Most staterooms will have queen beds with storage space underneath.

The Disney Wish will be slightly larger in size than the Disney Fantasy & the Disney Dream, but at 6 fewer staterooms it will offer more space dedicated for family fun. There are 1244 total staterooms on the Disney Wish. 902 of the staterooms will be connecting staterooms for larger families and 946 of the staterooms will have verandahs for that perfect view of the ocean. There will be 36 full accessible staterooms onboard and 56 accessible staterooms with communication features.

There are four main types of staterooms onboard.
-Inside staterooms
-Oceanview staterooms
-Verandah staterooms
-Concierge/Suite staterooms.

Inside Staterooms

Being the smallest category of staterooms on the Disney Wish, there are only 121 inside staterooms onboard. Each stateroom will have a queen bed with a convertible sofa and in select staterooms that sleep 4 there will be a pull down upper berth.

Oceanview Staterooms

The Oceanview staterooms will have a portal window that offers lovely views of the ocean. These rooms will sleep up to 5 guests. Rooms that sleep 4 will have an upper pull down berth and rooms that sleep 5 will also include a pull down murphy bed. There are 177 Oceanview staterooms on the Disney Wish.

Verandah Staterooms

Verandah staterooms account of the majority of the staterooms onboard the Wish. At 946 rooms, this is the largest category of staterooms. These rooms also sleep up to 5 guests with an optional pull down upper berth and murphy bed, but they have the added advantage of a private verandah where you can soak up the sun & enjoy room service with your own ocean view.

Royal Suites

This brand new class of rooms on the Disney Wish only has 4 total rooms. Two of the Royal Suites will even be 2-story suites with a grand spiral staircase and amazing views of the ocean through floor to ceiling windows. The Royal Suites feature an elegant design and are inspired by the life of Sleeping Beauty. All of the Royal Suites will sleep up to 6 guests and will have 3 full baths.

Concierge Staterooms

There are almost twice as many concierge staterooms on the Disney Wish than the other Disney ships and as a concierge guest you are in for a real treat. You will have access to the private concierge lounge with food & snacks throughout the day, a full bar, private kid’s club and a sundeck with whirlpools, a wading pool with great views on a forward facing deck.

There are 3 main types of Concierge staterooms on the Disney Wish.
– Concierge family Oceanview stateroom with Verandah – These rooms feature a design inspired by the animated film Tangled.
– Concierge 1-bedroom Suites with Verandah – The artful accommodations in these fabulous suites will also be touched by designs from Tangled.
– Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms – These staterooms will have amazing forward facing views through floor to ceiling windows. The artful accommodations in these rooms will be focused around none other than The Little Mermaid.

The Disney Wish has also added suites in a brand new location. They boast of 7 amazing suites located right above the bridge on the forward part of the ship for fantastic views of the ocean. Can you imagine sailing right above the captain & crew of the ship?

Isn’t it gorgeous? With nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, including a spacious upper-level loft, the Wish Tower Suite will sleep up to eight guests with two main bedrooms, a children’s room, a library that converts to a bedroom and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The magnificent living room will be flanked by an open dining area and a bar, all offering extraordinary views across the upper decks to the horizon through an expansive two-story window wall.

First Ever Funnel Suite

See the line where the sky meets the sea? It’s calling Guests home to the Wish Tower Suite, a first-of-its-kind accommodation set high in the forward funnel of the Disney Wish.

Deck Plans

I know everybody wants to have an idea of where their room will be on the Wish. Right now there is not a full set of deck plans available, but I have put together deck plans for decks 6 – 13 which is where the staterooms will be located on the Disney Wish.
