UPDATE: During the current reopening phases MaxPass is currently NOT being offered in the Disneyland Parks. We are crossing our fingers that it will return in the near future.
The Disney MaxPass feature allows you to make Disney FASTPASS selections right from your phone once you enter a Disneyland Resort theme park, using the Disneyland app.
Maximize your visit! For $20 per day/per person Disney MaxPass gives you the ability to download and save all of your Disney PhotoPass photos from the day and reserve Disney FASTPASS selections from your mobile device, using the Disneyland app while in the parks.
Easy as 1-2-3
- Make your selection
- Once at the FASTPASS entrance, scan the ticket code from your phone
- If your plans change, you can simply cancel your selection
Note: Guests need to download the Disneyland App to access Disney MaxPass.
What is a Fastpass? It is a pass that allows you into a special attraction line that has a shorter wait time. MaxPass, although not required, gives you digital access to Fastpass reservations from the Disneyland app, once you enter the theme park, and it also includes access to all of your Disney Photopass photo downloads for a month.
What if you don’t have MaxPass? You can still obtain paper Fastpass tickets from special kiosks usually near the attractions. The paper Fastpass will give you a time when you can return to the attraction and utilize the shorter, Fastpass line. However, you are only allowed to hold one attraction Fastpass at a time and must wait until you check-in for that Fastpass before obtaining another.
What are the advantages of MaxPass? You can make Fastpass reservations on your smartphone, through the Disneyland app the minute you step into the park. When you make your first Fastpass reservation, it will give you a time frame of when you can make another and another and another. It seems to me like there is more Fastpass availability in the app and I don’t have to walk across the park, or to another park, to get the Fastpass I want. Another BIG advantage is that it includes Photopass.
What is Photopass? Photopass is Disney’s photo product that adds your park photos from attractions & park photographers into your Disneyland account/app. The only way to get unlimited downloads of the Photopass photos is to have MaxPass.
Is their a disadvantage to MaxPass? The only possible down side of having MaxPass is the price. Although well worth it in my opinion, the cost is $20 per person, per day.
Disney MaxPass is nonrefundable, nontransferable and may not be redeemed for cash. Guests are strongly advised to check the day’s FASTPASS availability and other park details before purchasing Disney MaxPass or using a park ticket with Disney MaxPass. FASTPASS selections for preferred attractions or entertainment may not be available at the time of Disney MaxPass purchase or use as FASTPASS selections are limited and availability is not guaranteed. FASTPASS selections may be made only while you are in the parks, and may change without notice. Disney PhotoPass service is subject to the Disney PhotoPass terms and expiration policy found at https://disneyland.disney.go.com/photopass-terms-conditions/. Online registration required. Disney PhotoPass photos captured during the day your Disney MaxPass feature is used must be linked to your Disney account. Not responsible for missing, lost or damaged photos. Downloads are restricted to personal use by Disney account holder only and may not be used for a commercial purpose. The Disney MaxPass feature will expire at the end of the day of use. Subject to other restrictions and change or cancellation without notice. Message, data and roaming rates may apply for use of Disneyland App. Availability subject to handset limitations and features may vary by handset or service provider. Coverage not available everywhere.
